We are pleased to announce to our product line Corremaks fasteners, our long term partners EJOT now offer self-tapping screws for highly corrosive environments like swimming pools, underground parking lots and tunnels. This is possible through the use of austenitic stainless steel (1.4529), which is in accordance with resistance class IV of Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (Z-30.3-6).
Due to a special production method developed by EJOT, the thread edges of EJOT Corremaks screws reach a particularly high strength. Thus a process-sure screw connection in steel substructures up to S320 is possible. Laboratory tests impressively prove that the edge strength suffices to form the internal screw thread. The thread edges remain intact, so that a gearing of connection element and steel beam, which is necessary for a lasting protection, is guaranteed.
With the Corremaks screw, EJOT combines the advantages of an economic and secure installation of thread moulding sealing screws with the requirement of maximum corrosion protection where it may come to high concentrations of chlorides, sulphur dioxides or further pollutants. The screw is technically approved (Z-14.1-4).
